Crain Seam Cutter Plus

This cutter excels on zigzag ("hydra-shift") carpets including commercial loop pile and Berbers! The blade runs directly behind the center row guide. This keeps the blade away from the offset yarns, preventing yarns from being sheared, which causes unsightly seams. The wide base keeps the blade perpendicular to the yarns, further reducing nap shear. The row guide can be retracted fully into the base for top cutting. The tool can also be used as a trimmer to precisely trim carpet up to Z-bar or vinyl molding. Blades: Slotted razor (Crain No. 308C) and utility.
